Washington Township in cooperation with the Village of Beecher is here to serve ALL of our residents.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE PROGRAM?

Disabled citizens, senior citizens and anyone who RESIDES in Washington Township. Lift equipped buses are available for residents using wheelchairs, walkers or who have limited mobility.

WHERE CAN I GO?

Grocery shopping or any shopping center in Washington Township. Nursing homes, the Village Hall, restaurants, hair or medical appointments, visit a friend or relative or attend any Township or Village sponsored event! Service is available beyond the township BUT only within reason. Same day service is available for most trips within the township.

For service to local hospitals, clinics or other businesses out of the service area, please call for information. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. In the event of scheduling conflicts, our disabled residents WILL be serviced first.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS?

Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. First pickup is at 9:30 a.m. and our last ride is at 2:30 p.m. Saturday service is by appointment ONLY and is limited to our disabled residents and those who have special needs.

WHO DO I CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT?

Call 946-2026 before 12:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Please call us as soon as you make your medical appointment so we can schedule your ride.

WHAT IS THE COST?

There is NO charge. However, we suggest a donation of $1.00 one way or $2.00 round trip for rides within the township. The suggested donation for rides outside the township are $2.00 one way or $4.00 round trip (MEDICAL ONLY).

Washington Township and PACE are glad to have you aboard! In an effort to best serve all of our passengers, we ask that keep the following guidelines in mind while using this service:

BE READY!
Watch for your bus to arrive and be ready to come out of the house right away. Please have EXACT fares available when boarding the bus.

DON’T BE A NO-SHOW!
Always remember to cancel or reschedule your trip if you can't make a scheduled pickup time or if your plans have changed.

LIMIT YOUR PACKAGES!
You may carry TWO packages aboard the bus. All carry-on items must be secured on the floor between the seats and NOT in the aisle.

WE WANT YOU BACK!

YOUR SAFETY IS IMPORTANT, SO WE ASK THAT YOU FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES:

  • Service is curb to curb.
  • PLEASE wait until the bus has come to a full stop before approaching the bus.
  • PLEASE stay seated while the bus is in motion.
  • There is NO EATING, DRINKING, OR SMOKING ALLOWED on the bus.
  • PLEASE do not talk to the driver while the bus is in motion.
  • EXACT fares please!

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP BUS DRIVERS ARE HERE TO SERVE YOU. HOWEVER THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO:

  • Pull into your driveway without contacting the office in advance
  • Enter your home
  • Accept tips
