For anyone who is considering running for office on the Washington Township Board.
Nominating petitions for all Washington Township elected officials will be available on October 28, 2008. The four-year terms for the Washington Township Supervisor, Clerk, Assessor, Trustees (4), and Highway Commissioner will be voted upon during the Consolidated Election of 2009 to be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Anyone wishing to receive and / or file a nominating petition may contact Joseph Burgess, Washington Township Clerk at (708) 946-2026 Ext 224. The FIRST day a nominating petition can be circulated is October 28, 2008. The filing period for nominating petitions is from January 19, 2009 to January 26, 2009. Petitions may be filed by mail or in person. The LAST day to file a petition is January 26, 2009 at 5:00 pm. Petitions filed by mail must be received by 5:00 pm on January 26, 2009.
